Romp Stone

About Romp Stone:

Romp Stone (acronym for "Rita os Meus Pés"), born and raised in Lagos, with a degree in Equipment Design (FBAUL 2013) and a Master's in Product Design (ESAD.CR 2017). She spent a year studying sculpture at FBAUL, where she began working with stone and never stopped.
She worked in partnership with Studio Astolfi, where she created stone objects for the Hermès shop windows in Lisbon (2017). She designed stone furniture for the new MANTA brand presented at Maison et Objet, Paris (2017). He currently has four international symposia. In 2019, he made his first public sculpture for the Portuguese town of Monchique, as part of the Places of Globalization project, with a "Monumental Tree". In March 2021, he inaugurated the public sculpture in honor of his late friend Matthias Sandeck, placed at the fishermen's viewpoint in Praia da Luz.
He currently has his studio in the artistic residence of LAC - Laboratório de Actividades Criativas, in Lagos.
