THE CAVER - “Selected Works”


THE CAVER is a Portuguese Artist, born in Lisbon 1983 and living in Porto.
Left handed, he was addicted to drawing since very young, until he discovered Graffiti in 1997/98 that really push him into the streets.
With a small career of 10 years in graphic design his letters fastly transformed into big and well conceived murals.
Inspired by subcultures like punk rock, skateboard graphics, tattoo and graffiti, his painting concepts ranges from character design to big and complex enigmatic compositions.
Mostly on the streets and on any kinds of scales and surfaces, the artist also creates at his studio. Paintings, sculptures and comercial projects are what can be regularly seen. 
In the active cultural scene of Lagos, renowned artist THE CAVER returns to the Algarve for a solo exhibition that promises to delight and surprise both his most loyal admirers and new visitors. This show is a testament to THECAVER's artistic evolution and versatility, presenting a careful selection of works developed over the last year.
Known for his imposing murals, THE CAVER has transcended the style that has made him an iconic figure in the world of urban art. In this exhibition, the public will be able to appreciate not only the works that reflect his unmistakable style of muralism, but also two series that highlight his capacity for innovation and experimentation: “Grizzling” and “Labyrinth”.
